Today I am chatting with a good friend and my business accountability partner, Carin Young. Carin is the founder of Protea Co and Consulting and she is all about communities that matter and affecting positive change. For this reason, she's made it her mission to utilize her earnestly developed talents to help affect positive change in the businesses and lives around her.
Carin is chatting with us today about how we can protect our time and resources. She shares a four-step framework to setting healthy boundaries – “the 4 Cs”. These four C’s include:
1. Communicate honestly and thoughtfully
2. Create a focused environment
3. Center around your purpose
4. Collaborate for accountability

Carin reminds us that we should communicate with others and work hard to set those expectations ahead of time and to even do a self-check of “How am I spending my time? What’s working? What’s not working?”
