Ep. #25: Finding Peace Through Pain With Michelle E. Watson

pic.JPG

Michelle E. Watson is an artisan storyteller and a true creative. In spite of the twists and turns of life, Michelle has always known she would be an author and a minister. Her two lifelong dreams have been to be a biographer and a missionary preacher. In 2014 Michelle founded The Charming Artist, where she sells her paintings and other artwork. She began using art in her speaking in 2019, based on the idea that a story can be told with any appropriate medium, not just words.

Michelle is the author of “Peaceful Heart, Healthy Body,” available on Amazon in both hard copy and Kindle formats. Her memoir describes her journey in finding the balance between faith and knowledge while dealing with a series of health challenges and chronic pain. It is a must-read for women of faith.

Whether she uses comedy, music, poetry, or visual art, Michelle both entertains and inspires her audience. Michelle published her first memoir, Peaceful Heart, Healthy Body, in 2019. She also founded her first Facebook group, Liberating the Voice of the Woman, to give women a safe place to use the arts to express things they have been silenced from sharing with family and loved ones. Her passion is to help women find their voice so they can receive healing from chronic pain brought on by past trauma.

Michele would like to offer the following advice to those who are beginning their own entrepreneurial journey:

  1. Keep looking for answers

  2. Enlist a support person to advocate for you and to offer emotional support

In March 2020 Michelle officially launched Peaceful Heart Coaching to provide one-on-one support to women who want specialized help and care in telling their stories. Michelle lives in Snellville, Georgia with her husband, daughter, and two grandchildren. She enjoys reading, knitting, and quiet off-season vacations.
